Andrea MacDonald is the business owner, Registered Massage Therapist and a proud Mom of her 2 daughters. Originally from Newfoundland, her family moved to Bible Hill, NS in the 80’s. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2010 and has taken great pride in her therapeutic and compassionate approach with her clients. Her specialities include Indian Head Massage, Facial massage and is continuing her education with Craniosacral therapy. Andrea proudly brings her spa, salon, retail management and extensive customer service experience to the town of Stewiacke. Andrea and her husband Greg are a powerhouse couple that recently purchased and extensively renovated a 1940’s service station to the current home of Abalone Retreat.

Paula Simpson is our Elite Master Stylist. Paula brings 39 years experience to us. Her love of hair shows in her fun and bubbly personality. She cant wait to meet you and make your hair dreams come true.
Stewiacke’s own Tatianna Grosvenor is one of our experienced hair stylists whom is in the process of getting her Masters ! Tatianna has been doing hair for 9 years and loves everything about her career. She can’t wait to have fun creating and meeting all of you !
Rebecca Boutilier is our talented Gel nail technician. She loves nail art and challenging herself with new designs. Rebecca offers manicures, pedicures and gel nail services.
Nathalie Hicks is one of our Estheticians and is our Department Leader. Nathalie also offers advanced pedicure techniques. She lives in Elmsdale with her husband and two children. Passionate about all things esthetics, she takes great pride in providing exceptional care to her clients. Outside of work, Nathalie enjoys staying active through gym sessions and walks with her dog, spending quality time with her family and friends, as well as unwinding through books, music, and crafting.
Hannah Comeau is one of our Estheticians.Hannah also offers advanced pedicure techniques. She lives in Salmon River and is a proud Mom to her son. She takes great pride in her work with her strong attention to detail. Hannah is very passionate about the industry and loves all services she offers with us.
Fay Best is our Client Care Specialist. Fay moved to Stewiacke in 2021 from Newfoundland and Labrador with her husband to spend time with their son and family. She enjoys exploring Nova Scotia and is looking forward to getting to meet and help all our clients.
In loving memory of Wanda Hamilton, our Energy Lightworker. She offered some very special services at Abalone Retreat including Reiki, Crystal Pyramid Sound Healing and Rain drop Therapy. Wanda also offered group events as well and was the owner of her own business in Brookfield called Take 30 Sound & Reiki. Wanda had a very special gift that she shared with so many. She will be missed immensely.
